For military families in the midst of a financial crisis, the holiday season brings additional worries to an already stressful situation. Simply finding the extra money to buy a toy for their child may seem impossible. But thanks to the Marines Toys for Tots program, military and civilian children alike, have the opportunity to receive a new toy for Christmas.

If you're experiencing tough financial times and are in need of a new toy to give to your child for Christmas, Toys for Tots may be the answer to your prayers.

Requesting a Toy
To request a toy for your child, follow these easy steps:

  1. Go to the Request a Toy page at the Toys for Tots Web site.

  2. Enter your state in the "Search for a Campaign Near You." A second screen will replace the first. You'll see a "location" box. Click on the arrow and a menu of all participating locations within that state will appear.

  3. Select the location that's nearest to you. You'll then be taken to that particular location's Web site.

  4. Once there, select "Request a Toy" and follow the instructions for receiving a toy at the campaign in your area.

If you cannot find a campaign that's in your immediate area, return to the national Toys for Tots Web site and conduct a search for locations in communities near you.
