Question: Can Happily Married Couples Benefit from Marriage Enrichment Retreats?
Answer: Absolutely. A common myth shared among military couples is that marriage enrichment retreats are only beneficial to those with a troubled marriage or couples on the brink of divorce.

Unfortunately, because of this misconception many happily married couples dismiss the option of attending retreats and workshops, essentially causing them to miss out on a wonderful opportunity to potentially make a great marriage better.

Benefits of a Marriage Enrichment Retreat
Whether you're a newlywed or embarking on your 30th wedding anniversary it's never too soon - or too late - to strengthen your marital bond.

Although each marriage enrichment retreat is different, most military-sponsored retreats such as Strong Bonds and CREDO among others, are led by chaplains and focus on:

  • Teaching couples effective communication skills.
  • Providing tips on how to support each other.
  • Educating couples on how to spot trouble before the issue magnifies into a larger, more serious problem.

In addition to the benefits mentioned above, the retreats also grant couples plenty of free time to simply relax, reconnect and enjoy each others company.
