Question: How Much Sleep Do Kids Need?
Is your child getting enough sleep? Too much sleep? Discover how much sleep kids need.
Answer: Each child is unique and therefore sleep requirements vary. However, the National Sleep Foundation offers the following guidelines for children aged:
- One to three – approximately 12 to 14 hours of sleep
- Three to five - approximately 11 to 13 hours of sleep
- Five to 10 – approximately 10 to 11 hours of sleep
- Ten to 17 - approximately 8.5 to 9.5 hours of sleep
