Back in 2004, Marine Veteran, Bob Gilead wanted to send his daughter a special present for her first Christmas away from home as a new Marine. And so, he had a Christmas stocking made from a shirt he purchased at a surplus store. The item left such an impression that in 2006 he made the stockings available to the military support community. Fast forward several years and thousands of military wives, mothers, fathers, loved ones of servicemembers and support groups have purchased the stockings.
